2017 brought us much joy and some sadness. Isabella passed away in April, just shy of 10 years old, leaving a big hole in my heart and in the pack. She will forever be missed.
As for accomplishments, Holly earned 10 points towards her Championship, including taking Best Of Winners at the Specialty in Carson City, Nevada for the Sierra Rottweiler Club under long time judge, Vincent Mulligan for a 5 point Major. One more major and she'll finish her championship as well. Holly also became a Canine Good Citizen at the Stockton shows.
Dougal MacKenzie, aka Doogie Bowser, finished his Championship at 15 months, and, in his first time out as a Special, at 18 months was awarded a Best In Specialty Show. There are no words to describe how happy we are with this youngster's accomplishments thus far in his very young career. Doogie also earned his Canine Good Citizen title and his first Obedience Title of Beginner Novice Obedience Dog. Just wait a little while and we'll see what else this boy can do!
Esperanza finished her Grand Champion title in conformation and also earned her Rally Advanced, Rally Excellent and Canine Good Citizen Advanced. Espy will be retiring from the show ring now except to return as a Veteran or Brood Bitch. Speaking of which, Espy will be having babies in February of 2018, so come back and look for pictures! Once she's finished with these babies, we'll be training for more obedience and rally titles.
Brianna took Best Bred By Bitch at the Sierra Specialty. She still has some growing up to do, but we expect she'll be catching up to her brother in the not too distant future. Look for her return to the ring after her little brothers/sisters grow up and leave home.
Ty Ty took Best Veteran at that same Sierra Rottweiler Specialty. At 9 and a half years old, he's still a beautiful mover. He's walking 3-4 miles a day and enjoying his retirement.
We wish everyone a happy and prosperous New Year. Milagro means miracle, and we hope for some wonderful miracles for all this year.
